About this event

We are pleased to offer a free Birth Center Orientation and Expectant Parents Night (Online), where we provide you with all the information you need for your upcoming birth at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. This orientation is exclusively offered to those that are registered to deliver at our hospital. Our hospital staff and physicians will guide you through the essential logistics of having a baby at LPCH. The session will be conducted as a Zoom webinar, and you’ll have the opportunity to submit questions using the Q&A feature. Take a virtual tour of our birth center here.

Class Length: One session, 2 hours

Class Fee: Free for those delivering at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital

What you will learn:

  • What happens in Labor and Delivery
  • Current visitor policy
  • Pain relief options during labor
  • Maternity and postpartum arrangements
  • Skin-to-skin program
  • Picking a pediatrician
  • Going home with your new baby

When to take this class: Please register for an orientation that is within two months of your due date. This is to ensure that the information presented is fresh in your mind and that you receive the most up to date information about delivering at our hospital. Registrants that are not due within two months of the orientation date will be removed to make space for others.
